personality

A bastard without a soul. Not literally but some describe him as such; if there was a rehab for sex, booze, drugs and murder he’d go to all and flunk every single one. He isn’t the shining example of a human being, but pretty much embodied every single sin you can think of, and by god does he love it that way. Arrogant, stuck up and a complete prick, Eric travels through life without a care, treading a good number of people as he goes along. His loyalty is was trustworthy as his word, a man with no solid loyalties or bonds to bind him to a certain place or job; he’s selfish often caring about himself first and other people later. A guy who asks no questions when he is given a job, he does it and he does it well. He’s a heartless bastard who lies as easily as he breathes.

Yet despite all that he has a heart, like many other people do, even if it is all black and hard it is possible for him to care… in some way or form. He won’t outwardly show it, usually covering it up with insults and sarcasm, but there are rare occasions where he does care—as limited as that caring might be. Though towards the general populace he couldn’t give a flying rat’s ass if they were dying in the street or being mugged by some random stranger, unless of course it was a pretty thing with a nice set of legs; then he would care, or at least fake that he did to woo the said pretty thing off her feet for night she’ll never forget.

Eric can be ruthless, incredibly ruthless and sadistic if given the chance; if in the mood he’ll break a man’s legs before letting him bleed to death via a non-fatal bullet, he hates getting blood on the clothes and can be rather sentimental about the strangest things. Like a leather coat, a gun, a certain cigarette. He’s abnormal and come sometimes

• ACCELERATION — When desired Eric can force his movements to speed up dramatically for a short amount of time. Although there is a draw back, as it puts immense stress on his muscles the more times he uses it more damage he does to himself.

background

Born in London to a loving and adoring family, Eric grew up with four sisters and an older brother, so as a child he was often subjected to being beaten up by his brother and annoyed insanely by his sisters. And then there was the constant battle to gain his parent’s attention, it never went well, at the age of ten he decided he had to either look after himself or crawl into a ditch and die – which sure as hell wasn’t an option. Once he hit his teens he fell into the wrong sort of social groups, by his own choice, causing havoc for his parents during his teenage years.

School was a hassle, he had the smarts for it but simply chose not to used them, passing by the skin of his teeth. Most of his time was spent skipping classes, getting into fights and in detention; his weekends were spent just as badly sometimes even worse. By the time he reached twenty Eric had himself addicted to cigarettes, booze and whatever drugs he could get his hands on. It wasn’t until he reached the age of twenty five that he weeded himself off the drugs, after being nearly beaten to death by a dealer whom he owed a shit load of money too. Even after his near death experience he still headed through his life like a walking time bomb, filling his lungs with tar, gambling, drinking and getting into all sorts of fights.

However he made an effort during his years in college, actually passing with flying colors before slipping back into his old habits. After college he got himself a job as a bartender and bouncer in his spare time, though found himself often bored with the job, through a recommendation by one of the regulars to the bar he worked at Eric found himself working for the government he had heard so many things about (pleasant and unpleasant) it wasn’t that long after that when he began working as a Black Suit. Now that was a job that kept his interest.

Things went smoothly for him after that, he met and befriended (using that term lightly) a few people, including one Eden Cheval, whom he made a point to consistently bother on a regular basis; often trying to get other reactions aside from brooding and apathy from him. Eric did his job and he did his job well, life really couldn’t have been better until the defection of one Jacob Hart; among the men who were sent to execute him and his family, he watched as the entire situation became something out of a soap opera.

Jacob was killed, Eden’s little girlfriend defected as well, her mother was killed and so was she; it was all rather amusing to his eyes although not so much too his brooding friend, who pleaded to let the two surviving members of the Freeman family live. Things seemed to return to normal after that, much to his own pleasure going back to stalking, drinking, smoking and gambling when he had free time, paying little heed to the downward spiral his friend’s social life was taking only to poke him with a stick every time he started to brood.

And there he stayed, in the job which he quite enjoyed, with little care to the world that was crumbling down around him.

• Ed — No #1 of his most trusted people, they've been best friends for a while, a long while. It shits him how much Eden broods but for some reason he refuses to leave the man alone, being a constant bother as well as supportive through everything. He was with Eden when Jacob Hart was killed and helped him ensure the safety of Scout and Ethan. He may have felt slightly guilty when he dropped off the face of the earth and didn't tell Eden, but suspects the guy won't hold it against him.
• Gabe — No #2. They're peas in a pod, or something equally as corny. Eric finds the guy to be hilarious, and a blast to hang out with. One of the few people he trusts and one of the few people he'd probably take a bullet for it the time ever came for it. They got on hunts together, fun times with crowbars man, FUN TIMES.
• Pheeb — She's well... special. Met through Eden and Scout, she somehow managed to worm her way into his heart without him noticing it. She's his drinking buddy and probably close female confidant, he tends to be slightly more mellow around her and even at times lets her in on what is running around in his mind. It wasn't until a bit after his disappearance that he really regretted not telling her, but orders are orders after all.
• Scout — Oh Scout, his favorite female aside from Pheobe. They're a funny couple, often arguing and snarking at each other. He says he can't stand her but he considers her something of a sister, although will never EVER admit that. Ever.

• Charre — Lol ur so funny. Passing acquaintance, she's amusing and very nice to look at but he cares little for her aside from that. He keeps her at arms distance like he does the rest of the world, sadly her looks and flattery won't get her into his little trust circle.
