An asshole. Ethan really doesn't care about anyone but himself... for the most part. A large part of him feels empty so he makes up for it by just being a total prick to most people. He reasons that it's because he doesn't have that right woman in his life, but he's far too busy for a permanent thing right now anyway.
He is normally cold to those around him and rarely warms up to anyone. That being said, if you're a friend or more, he'll be kind. He'll still not be as friendly as most are, but at least he won't threaten you with punches to the face or kicks to the groin, right?
Always sharp, always punctual, always dressed as if he just walked off a runway for some designer, Ethan rarely lets down that businessman exterior. All work and no play makes Jack a rich man, is his motto. And he'd rather be concerned with dollar signs than some stupid flighty woman who would just leave him anyway. No, he's not jaded at all... what are you talking about?
The interesting thing is that when he was growing up, he wasn't always like this. So those who haven't seen him in a few years would likely assume that he's a completely different person. No one is really sure what happened to change him from the humorous playboy into the ultimate asshole, but people speculate that some girl broke his heart. Way to go, stupid lady. Not to mention the disappearance of the only other person he truly ever gave a shit about.
So, the condensed version is basically this: there's probably a part of him that just WANTS to be nice, but, uh. Sadly, he just messes with people, sans lulz. On occasion, he'll do things that he finds funny, but he'll never laugh. At times, you'll get him to smile, but that's really about it.
The surprising thing is that Ethan is quite the leader. He knows that they have a mission and he isn't about to let anything or anyone stand in the way. While cold and an asshole, he tends to keep a tight ship, at least pretending that he cares for the well-being of those in the WG. He is also extremely cutthroat and ruthless. At times this can cause him to be unable to listen to the advice from others, but even if he were listening, he wouldn't use it anyway.
He knows that he is a flawed being, but that doesn't stop him from making everyone else believe that he doesn't think it. He knows that he isn't perfect, but that doesn't stop the man from making everyone else think he is.

Growing up in the wealthiest part of London, England, Ethan Park had a comfortable life. Being the son of an extremely wealthy businessman, he led a complete life of luxury. Never denied anything, Ethan was basically allowed to do whatever he wanted. Unlike most other rich socialites, he didn't go down the path of insane partying and lack of any sort of a brain and stuck it out going through school and all the motions to being taking over his father's business.
The rest of his childhood was boring. Well, boring to Ethan. He did the occasional prank, the occasional schoolwork, and even the occasional girl, but it all just seemed extremely mundane. He would've looked for more, but he had just came to the conclusion that he was simply going to live a life of permanent boredom.
For a few brief years, Ethan and his family moved to Budapest. There he met two of the most important people in his life. The first was Soo Jin Kwon, another Korean who never bothered to learn any other language except Korean from his parents and enough Hungarian to get him by. Truth be told, Ethan had never questioned his sexuality until that moment, but never acted on anything, or so he told himself. The other was Miranda Evans, a woman he swiftly fell in love with.
Deciding to remain close to home, he went to university there. Always surrounded by large groups of people who claimed to be his friends, Ethan was never really alone, but as he slowly began to realize that these other socialites only wanted to be around him for their image and not for him, he felt pretty lonely. Then, of course, like every good story, there was the lady who broke his heart. Between those things and attempting to not allow it to affect his coursework, Ethan ditched his playful persona and turned into a huge jerk. He rarely saw Miranda again, only as a fleeting figure on the street or on campus.
Most of his closer friends stayed, realizing that he was only doing this as a defense mechanism, but when they realized that it was staying, even after months had passed, they decided they had to do something. So, like any good college kid would suggest, they told him that they were going to treat him to a massive party. And where else would they go but back to London.
And who knew? He actually enjoyed himself.
Deciding to stay there, Ethan decided to transfer to a university there to finish his degree. After he graduated, he decided to stay in London to help with his father's business from there, but not the department people expected. Referred to many as the good cop, Ethan traveled from city to city as a pseudo-spy and interrogator for various groups. Participating in some more backhanded sorts of deals, Ethan eventually encountered his match. It was an older man who said that he had a far more reliable group of people. The man was a Black Suit for the World Government and before Ethan knew it, he was starting the process of becoming one of them.
After a lover's spat an argument with Soo Jin over the details of his new job, Ethan packed up his bags after staying in Budapest for a while and moved to Paris. It was the last time that he had heard from him and he keeps a tally of how long it had been since he heard from him last. He attempted to reach out once, but found the apartment empty, Soo Jin's number disconnected, and no trace of him whatsoever. It looked like the work of one of two sides, so Ethan only could assume the worst.
Remaining a silent member of the WG, Ethan, while active, tended to not make himself known. Sticking behind the scenes, he was an information runner, providing the Government with information on betrayers or people who weren't completely faithful. While not necessarily a rat, Ethan often commissioned those who owed him or his father favors to do the dirty work for him. It wasn't the most interesting of work, but at times it involved pretty women (or men) and it kept him busy.
While to many the secret circles of the World Government developed into a second family, it wasn't at all for Ethan. He looked at this worldwide group as just another source of informants and if need be to pin against each other to suit him best. Granted, these are the only people who haven't given him a reason, so odds for the WG look pretty damn good right now.

- Charre Tangvald — These two knew each other before they turned into monsters. Ethan holds her in extreme high regard and would do anything for her. No matter how much time has passed, if one finds the other is in need, they will meet as if no time has passed. There are very few people he loves and even on a platonic level, she is one of them.
- Soo-Jin Kwon — His most important person. See history. Ethan blames himself for Soo-Jin's disappearance and is slowly destroying himself both mentally and physically because of his decision to become a Black Suit. Sadly, there isn't a day that passes where Ethan doesn't think about one thing he should have changed in their last talk. Regardless of what has happened to Soo-Jin, Ethan takes full responsibility. He stupidly loves this man more than anything, even himself, even if all he is in love with is a memory.
- Wilhelmina Corte-Real — Another person he was assigned to bodyguard, however, this was after his becoming a Black Suit. He is far more affectionate with her than with anyone else and will take care of her as if she were a sibling.

- Eden Cheval — Occasionally worked with him as well and typically does the 'bad cop' things that most don't expect Ethan to do. He doesn't mind, he's fucked up enough already so what's one more bloodstained shirt to add to his collection?
- Leandro Corte-Real — They are what Ethan would like to call "almost friends." They typically work together on random assignments, Ethan occasionally picking up Leandro's slack. Goddammit.

- Daisy Notara — Someone Ethan feels he could grow to actually like instead of tolerate. She will likely move into the friend group after Daisy witnessed Ethan break down.
- Emeline Jones — Another person Ethan has known for quite some time. He has assisted her through many rough times and while there is some part of him that wants to consider her a friend, Ethan knows that this relationship is strictly professional.

- Ethan's only vice is that he drinks excessively. This is to the point where he doesn't stop until he is completely obliterated. He doesn't drink with anyone when he drinks like this.

- Typically doesn't flaunt his money, but does like to have nice things. This can extend beyond materialistic things and actually account for people, as well. Kind of creepy, yes.
