talk is cold and burns like the sun
the back of the class is where i was
keeping quiet playing dumb

personality
A woman of complete mystery, there are few who can honestly say that they know the real Isabelle. There are many sides to this single being, and she is often times playing the charming, innocent young woman who wants nothing more than to do her job and do it well. She will present a woman of stature, professionalism and wit, while simutaneously managing to make men weak in the knees. Seeming to lack any sense of shame, Isabelle is not above using her body to get a story out of a man, nor is she afraid to put them in compromising positions to make them sing. She is no stranger to the darker side of journalism – in fact, she seems to embody its very meaning.
Although she appears to lack a moral compass, Isabelle has a side to her that she would much prefer to hide away under the layers of fakeness she has made for herself. As rare as it is, she does indeed feel guilty for the dirty things she's done in the name of journalism, and she sometimes feels remorse for getting someone locked up or taken from their homes. She knows how dirty the government really is, and while she covers up many-a-mysteries for them with her writing, she can't help but to feel that nagging thing called guilt. But she sets aside these pesky feelings in favour of the fame her stories earn her, like the selfish she-devil she loves to play.
abilities
- PSEUDO-PRECOGNITION — Isabelle is sometimes able to see events before they actually happen, which was the reason she went into journalism.
background
Isabelle's life has always been a pretty easy one from the moment she was born in London. Her parents doted on her for some time, but the moment they began having more children after her, their attention seemed to decline significantly. All her life, the only thing Isabelle ever wanted out of her childhood was for her parents to tell her how proud they were of her – especially her father, as she admired him greatly. But those words never passed their lips, and Isabelle's resentment for them grew as she did.
While Eric immersed himself in a less than admirable lifestyle, Isabelle had managed to start attracting men at a young age, and became painfully aware of some of her "qualities" due to this. It was during her early teen years that she discovered the joys of manipulating men into doing what she asked, and she quickly honed this skill. Needless to say, Isabelle earned quite the reputation as being a Man-Eater, Boyfriend-Thief, or whatever other names the jealous girls of her school could think up. But she paid them no mind; after all, she was the one who was able to coerce some professors into giving her a free 100% mark.
Her college years were relatively the same as high school, and she found herself thoroughly bored with the same old routine. Moreover, she was beginning to "slip," as her talent with wooing men didn't seem to do her much good to her old-as-dirt professors. Isabelle began to put forth a real effort, but she wasn't nearly as smart as she boasted herself to be, and quickly began to flunk class after class. Finally, when she was ready to throw in the towel and call it quits, a professor came across one of her essays and, impressed by her writing style and eloquency, urged her to begin focusing on this talent of hers. At long last, Isabelle seemed to have found something write home to mummy and daddy about with pride.
But the only response she received was news of her parents' death, and knowing that she would never earn the pat on the back she so desperately wanted from her father, her heart seemed to turn to ice. Her resentment for her father turned to hatred quickly, and that hate stemmed from him to all other men she came across. She hated how weak they were, how easily won over by a pretty face with "lovely assets," and she made a habit of making men eat out of the palm of her hand before she slapped them (literally and figuratively.) Yet she didn't stray from her studies, and she was soon writing for local newspapers and the like.
By the time she had reached her twenty-fifth birthday, Maxwell disappeared, Eric had become a Black Suit, Jessica had gone missing, and Louise had died. Her family life was ruined beyond repair, and she didn't seem to be in any hurry to try. It was at this point that Isabelle learned one very crucial fact of life: to survive, a woman had to be smart, sexy, and influential. So she set out to fulfill her goal, and it wasn't long before she managed to earn her way into the World Government's favour. Soon she was writing all kinds of stories for London newspapers, and she rose to fame status in no time and, like Kilian Tröger, she too became a household name in Europe.

enemies
- Kilian Tröger — Ex-Boyfriend. Father of her son, she dated this man for some time, and after he broke it off with her due to his brother's paranoia about her, she went on a rampage and began publishing articles covering his private life. Her moral compass has been completely shot with this man, and she isn't ashamed to expose their sexual exploits for her stories. But while Isabelle will never, ever admit it, she truly loves Kilian more than she ever has any other man in her life, and deep down all she wants is for him to love her back. There were many things Isabelle never told Kilian, such as being pregnant with his son or knowing of Andreas Notara's real identity. These were revealed at her death.
