personality

Summing up Michael in a single word is awfully complicated, if not entirely impossible, which is probably saying a lot about what sort of man he is. As someone who is outwardly optimistic and generally cheerful, it could come as a surprise to any that meet him that beneath that base layer of his personality lies a man who is more inclined to avoid topics of conversation that revolve around your family in exchange for going about his business. Michael has no real interest in the world around him, but being that he is quite the good actor, no one would ever suspect such a thing from such an outwardly chipper man. It suffices to say that Michael’s career has trained him to be a certain way for the general public. While he is bright and friendly to nearly everyone around him, he can at any given moment turn into the unforgiving Black Suit that so many people have come to stereotype them into.

Michael is intelligent, a given considering what his occupation is, though he is not one to make a show of how smart he is. It is perhaps this unwillingness to be so loud with his intellect that makes him seem cold and calculating to some, though it is in actuality a result of knowing what happens to those who show off too much when working for the Government. It’s because of this caution that Michael has come to expect the worst in people, and is constantly on his guard.

But that isn’t to say that he’s a miserable old droid. In spite of his many reservations and his pessimism for the human race as a whole, Michael has a brilliantly strange sense of humour. From mocking the Scottish and Irish (ignoring the fact his father is Scottish) to chortling immaturely at toilet jokes, Michael not only lacks finesse when executing his jokes, but has a bad habit of telling them at the worst times, or laughing at the most inappropriate of moments. Strangely detached as he may be, Michael is oddly devoted to those that he actually cares for, and he is more capable of genuine compassion than he would let others in on. That, of course, isn’t to say it happens often.

• MORICHRO — Similar to a trance, it is something that Michael was born with and gives him the ability to slow down someone's heart and breathing to the point where he may put someone into a comatose state.
• VALOR — A Government-implemented ability that grants Michael a rush of adrenaline that keeps up his stamina, speed, and accuracy. Seeing as this is not an ability that this was not an ability he was born with, he can only use it sparingly and it has a habit of wearing him down faster.

• Josef Petrenko — Co-worker and someone that Michael has known for many years, it's hard to believe that these two are actually friends. With Josef constantly insulting Michael's manhood, one would think that the blond would eventually get fed up with the other man, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Josef is perhaps the main reason Michael remains within the Government, and also the reason he's stayed alive as long as he has.
